Positano in particular has a tiered, vertical structure that's genuinely unique.
Where couples get married here
Positano's Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta, with its tiled dome above the beach, is one of the most recognisable wedding churches in Italy.
Villa Oliviera is a lovely smaller venue with the town as a backdrop, and there are beach clubs and cliffside terraces along the coast toward Amalfi and Praiano.
Many couples arrive by boat, which makes for a wonderful entrance and an even better shot, especially with a drone!
Filming a wedding in The Dolomites
This is the most weather-dependent region I work in, but come rain or shine, fog or clear, The Dolomites are incredibly rewarding. Cloud can sit on the peaks all morning and clear in ten minutes, so I stay flexible rather than locking the day to a rigid schedule.
Cable cars and mountain roads mean getting to a high viewpoint takes real time — worth building in properly, because those shots are why you came. Drone restrictions are lighter here than around cities, so aerials are usually possible.
Season matters too: the high passes and lifts are closed by snow outside roughly June to early October, so a summer or early-autumn date gives you the most options, while winter offers something completely different if you want snow.
