About me

WHAT I DO BEST

Natural filmmaking with an unobtrusive style. I try to operate out of the way, in the background and with minimal staging. I love candid videography, natural smiles - beautiful moments that could never be posed. Real joy.

Dynamic editing with a flair for excitement. Your wedding day is happy! Full of fun and laughter. I gravitate towards happy faces. Capturing them has become second nature. Allowing your day to unfold naturally on film is my passion.

I'm relaxed, composed and efficient. I know where I need to be, when I need to be there. Call it a wedding sixth sense! Staying relaxed helps the day run smoothly, there's no stress when I'm capturing the happiest day in your lives.

What to expect on the day

A few things I do to make your day easy for everyone involved

1. The Photographer and I

Something widely overlooked when booking a vendor is how well they work together with others. I pride myself on my ability to not only work well with the other suppliers, most notably the photographer, but to bring the best out in them.

There are few things worse for a videographer to obstruct or take over the photographer's role. I much prefer to let them do their job, and to document the action rather than direct it.

I find photographers really appreciate this and ultimately allows them to get the best photos possible, and likewise me with the video. By the end of the day, the photographer and I usually become best friends forever!

2. Working in the background

Very few moments in my films are posed. I never interrupt you or your guests to stage a shot, what they're doing spontaneously is far more interesting than anything made up. Not only does it allow for a more natural video, but it means you and your guests are more relaxed!

I shoot wholly on zoom lenses, meaning I can quickly switch between wide shots and close ups without having to move and jam my camera in people's faces - so uncomfortable when videographers do this!

I'm always on the lookout for smiling and laughing faces, it forms the majority of the shots I use. I travel light so I can be unobtrusive but also so I can quickly dart across when I hear something fun happening!

3. Letting you be you

I have my own unique style - which is fun, natural, documentary filmmaking. With this in mind, your film reflects your personality, your theme and your wedding. I say your film because many videographers make their film, but I always stay true to you.

This is what I love the most about weddings, they're all completely unique. Sure, they mostly have the same schedule but every wedding has it's own vibe, the French say, je ne sais quoi - that special something indescribable in words.

This certain special quality may be indescribable in any language (except maybe French!), but can certainly be reflected in video. That is my goal.

4. Taking the stress away!

It's important to me to be relaxed. I believe that the best way to make people feel at ease, is to be absolutely comfortable and stress-free.

It's normal for nerves to set in, especially in the run-up to the ceremony. Fun fact: the worst of it is actually the days leading up to the wedding - most couples are completely relaxed on their actual day!

I'm there to capture your day on video, but I'm also there to help. The photographer and I are in the unique position of being present throughout the entire day. If you don't have a coordinator or planner present, sometimes it's worth having someone used to weddings if you need anything.
